Homeschooling in Connecticut

Connecticut General Statutes Section 10-184 requires only equivalent instruction in the core subjects: reading, writing, spelling, English grammar, geography, arithmetic, and US history and citizenship. No approval, no notice of intent, no testing, no portfolio review. The C-14 notice and annual portfolio review are voluntary guidelines. Connecticut has weighed new oversight legislation; confirm current law at portal.ct.gov/sde. Compulsory age 5 through 18.
